This week’s project… renovating a $25.00 gold thrift shop mirror to a delightful purple, fancy – glossy gal.

With a little color theory, I combined Liquitex‘s Ultramarine Blue, Naphthol Red Light and White to create the Purple or “Red Blue” hue.  Then I added Bioshield‘s Low VOC Aqua Resin for a glaze with an umber tint.

It’s my little piece of Moulin Rouge in a sea of Mid Century.
