This week’s project… renovating a $25.00 gold thrift shop mirror to a delightful purple, fancy – glossy gal.
With a little color theory, I combined Liquitex‘s Ultramarine Blue, Naphthol Red Light and White to create the Purple or “Red Blue” hue. Then I added Bioshield‘s Low VOC Aqua Resin for a glaze with an umber tint.
It’s my little piece of Moulin Rouge in a sea of Mid Century.

I really dig this eclectic bench by Junktion. I first spied a wooden palette shoe rack posted by PrairieMod.
Ask any Interior Designer, and they have a laundry list of favorite chairs. My love of chairs extends beyond my capacity for housing them. Combining a diverse selection of chairs into a bench just makes sense and good clean fun.
Great idea, Junktion! Mixing unused items into usable stuff that’s really fun and really works.
