Looking for that punchy pop art kick this season.  Freshen up with some really light white or misty grey walls.  Then position some pop art for color.  Whaa – la, you’ve got a graphic kick start to some eye catching artwork.  Graphic artwork is easily recognizable and the solid silhouette is remarkably eye catching. Check out Naked Decor, for pillows, artwork, clocks and a ceramic line by designer Johnathan Adler.

Bikinilicious Chair from Modernica

I love the new Shire chair by Modernica and the special addition Bikini model.  Modernica offers the traditional fiber glass Eames style chairs, but now with a new twist of the french legs.  So tres chic! image

It’s so exciting for me to see a modern mix up with a little bit of french flair.  I’m thinking the Shire would make great a new desk chair.

My French Life – Brings Back Memories

Posted by liz on Apr 16th, 2009

myfrenchlife I just started reading My French Life, by Vicki Archer.  A fab story about how she and her family purchase a second home in Provence and their story of renovation and adopting a love of France and the French lifestyle.

It brings back memories of my past visit to Versailles, Paris and Bordeaux.  What I didn’t know then, I’d love to revisit now.  The lavender bushes, bright vivid colors, detailed architecture and scrumptious eats along the way.  I’m hoping I can introduce a little “je ne sais quoi” into my spring style.

Trips To Napa Inspired by Art

th_0228f_04Ahh Napa.

After several past trips,  I yearn every Spring for a getaway to Napa.  It’s like in the air and in my soul.

Ann Rea, vibrantly captures the vinyard vibe in her artwork.  The structure of the rows and unstructured colors that paint the region.  Buying artwork for your home that refelects where you’ve been brings you a little closer to where you hope to be.
