Vinyl wallcoverings are typically associated with commercial use offering durability, long lasting and in my opinion gassy and not environmentally friendly.
Second-Look is the first post-consumer recycling program offered by a vinyl wallcovering manufacturer. LSI Wallcovering extends their offering to the lines of Cirqa, Plexus and Versa.

According to their site, “Second-Look Retrieval Program converts reclaimed vinyl wallcovering into recycled post-consumer product. The Second-Look Recycled Wallcovering is manufactured with at least 20% recycled content, and a minimum of 10% post-consumer.”

The recycled wallcovering is made with water based inks and is recommended to be applied with low VOC / water based adhesive.

Taking a second look at vinyl may be an worth while for commercial and residential design.
